Our LED underwater lights serve three main purposes: 1) attract fish, 2) increase underwater visibility and visibility of your watercraft to other boaters, and 3) improve the ambience of nighttime boating.

Attract fish

Many of our customers choose to install our underwater lights on their boats or at the dock to attract fish.  The improved water lighting results in increased marine activity, as the LED lights act as a lure to certain species of fish. Typically, smaller fish will congregate near the lights, which leads to increased activity of larger predator fish.

Improve visibility

LED’s break the darkness of the nighttime water, allowing visibility of marine formations, sand bars, fish, and other items below the surface of the water. Underwater boat lighting also can improve the safety of nighttime operations by creating a larger visual footprint, making others aware of your presence from a distance.

Add Ambience

The visual impact of our brilliant LED lighting is dramatic. Hues of white, blue, green, orange, and red split through dark waters, creating a compelling ambience that says all the right things about the boat and its owner.

All of our underwater LED lights are surface-mounted, meaning that you do NOT have to drill a large hole in your boat to install them (unlike some of our competitors’ lights). In fact, all you need is a 3/16” hole in the boat transom through which you’ll route the wiring. The light attaches to the boat via stainless steel screws that are included with every order. Simply apply marine sealant around the wiring hole and screw holes prior to final tightening.

Abyss Technology warrants their products to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal use for a period of two years from the date of purchase. The lamp or power regulator will be repaired or replaced with a new or comparable product at no charge to the customer for parts or labor. You will be responsible for the cost of shipping to and from the location designated by Abyss Technology.

LED stands for Light Emitting Diode.

Basically, an LED is just a tiny light bulb. But unlike ordinary incandescent bulbs, they don't have a filament that will burn out and don't get especially hot. They are illuminated solely by the movement of electrons in a semiconductor material due to the passage of low current.

EFFICIENCY

LED’s use 80% of the electrical energy consumed to generate light energy, the remaining 20% is lost as heat. Traditional incandescent lights transform 20% of electrical energy in light energy, and the remaining 80% of the electrical power is lost as heat, which means that LED’s are four times more efficient than conventional lighting.

Our shipping charges are simple: we charge a $20 flat rate for up to three items. For each additional item beyond three, the shipping charge increases by $4. For example, the shipping charge for five items would be $28.

We attempt to ship all items on the same day we receive your order, but in any case, the order will be shipped by the business day following receipt of your order. For customers who need their lights immediately, we offer overnight shipping at a cost equal to double our standard shipping rates.
